This weekend in Victoria we got around a foot of snow, making most of the roads inaccessible, so I went out with my phone to capture it.
I started out with a picture of this tree branch to show to amount of the snow but although there was a leading line and interesting framing, it didn’t really tell a story.

Next I saw a bunch of kids sledding down one of the streets because there were no cars and figured that was a better subject. The road leads the viewers eyes down the street to the subjects in the middle of the photo, and the overcast skies create a soft glow.
The fourth photo on the post is similar to the aforementioned image, as the subject (a man walking his dog) are in the distance.

Lastly, I snapped a photo of a dog that ran towards me in an attempt to get a subject that was closer up and I like how it stands out against the white snow it’s running on.
