EdTech Reflections & Free Inquiry (iPhone Photography)

free inquiry: part g (SPring)

For this week’s inquiry I had to take advantage of the cherry blossom trees blooming all over Victoria, symbolizing the start of Spring. I set out on a walk from my apartment to downtown in search of anything that screamed “Spring” that I could photograph.

For taking pictures of flowers, I learned to aim for a different perspective than the viewer normally sees (see below). Instead of looking up at the trees, or down at daffodils, reach your phone up as high as you can into the branches to gain a feeling of being totally immersed in the flowers.

I wasn’t the only one enticed by the bright pink blossoms, as I saw multiple other people taking photos of the trees with their phones as well, reaffirming just how useful and universal having a camera on you at all times is.

In my mind, Spring is all about florals and pastel colours, so I tried to capture these in my images. Cool neutrals and soft pinks evoke the changing season and I looked for these on my photo walk.
